The Rich Kids Of Lagos Part 51
At her Aunt’s gate, she met Musa, the gateman who was unusually hostile to her.
‘Madam nor dey’ he said coldly
‘How about Grandma?’ asked Aduke referring to her own Mother. ‘Grandma’ was the name she had been dubbed with around the house here.
‘Dem comot together’ said Musa
‘Okay I will wait for them’ she said as she tried to go in
‘No. Them talk say make no visitor enter’ responded Musa rudely
‘Haba, Musa, behave yourself, it is me nah’ cajoled Aduke
‘Sister Aduke abeg, I no want madam’s wahala’ he said as he entered the compound back, locking her out. He looked through the peephole at the gate and advised her ‘Call Grandma and Madam, make you beg them. Then come to the house when they come back’
Confused and with nowhere to turn, Aduke called Gabbo.
‘Hello’ she said
‘Yes’ he responded shortly
‘Can I come to yours?’ she asked
‘Why?’ he asked
‘If it’s a bother, don’t worry’ she said. Danladi heard something in her voice and backed down
‘Its no bother, Aduke. Should I send someone to pick you up? he asked
‘No. I will take a cab’ she said
‘See you soon’ he said, but the connection had been cut off already
Gabbo had told his guards to expect her and opened the front door himself. He was dressed in a black t-shirt and grey trackdowns. When he saw her face, his heart melted
‘Aduke, are you alright’ he asked, concerned
‘Yes. No. I don’t know’ she said as she burst into tears
‘What happened? he asked. He really hated to see her cry except he was the one that caused it. He held himself back from holding her in his arms
‘Everything. My friends, my family, Peter,You’ she said as she launched into her sad tale of how her friends were scheming behind her back, how her family had locked her out and how he had complicated her life.
‘Addy, is this about Peeter? asked Gabbo
‘Peter? No it isn’t about him, really’ she responded honestly
‘So what is this about? he asked
She burst into tears again, inconsolable
Gabbo stepped forward to hold her in his arms and the electricity sparked again. The flame re-ignited all at once.
Before she knew it, they were in each other’s arms, kissing and fondling each other through their clothes. What had started as an innocent conversation had blown up to a raging inferno, one that could no longer be contained. Aduke raised her hands for DG to remove her tee shirt. He gazed at her full breasts, sheathed in a lacy chocolate coloured bra. The contrast against her skin was lovely to behold. Gabbo saw her Tips winking at him. They were hard already, expectant, awaiting his touch.
Gabbo leaned down, spreading butterfly kisses down her jaw, to her neck, as his hand cupped one Bosom, toying with her first one Tip, and then the other. His thumb and index finger were playing a fabulous tune, one she didn’t want to ever stop.
She stood there in her jeans and bra, eyes shut, head leaning backwards for more kisses from this man who could play her like musical instrument. Emboldened by the fire in her lower region, Aduke ran her hands down his body and cupped his firm hardness. As she stroked him through his soft track downs she felt powerful because she could see the effect she had on him. Just as she began to slip her hand inside his waistband, Gabbo carried her in his arms and took her into his room.
It was a masculine room, done in warm browns and chocolates, but neither of them could not see this for they were not here to appreciate the decor. Gabbo tossed her on the bed and quickly divested her of her bra and jeans. He was secretly thrilled that she had worn matching undies and he could see what lay beneath the lacy underwear. She was clean shaven, save for a little triangle of hair that had been left right at the tip of the parting. When he saw this, it excited him and made him want her more. He ran his hands over the lacy undies and played with the little patch. He explored further and rubbed her lady parts through underwear that was already wet.
Gabbo hurriedly removed his clothes and her panties and lay next to her, skin to skin. The inferno was too much to bear, but he was unwilling to rush things. It had been long since he had last enjoyed this with her. He resumed kissing her all over and he pinned her hands over her head. He needed to let her know who was boss.
When he laid fluttering kisses on her belly, she could not stay still. He went lower and lower still. Her core was hot already and when Gabbo slid his middle finger inside the molten heat, it took all of his restraint not to replace his finger with his turgid erection. She was warm, wet and tight, fully ready to take on a full onslaught. However, he decided to show her who was boss and resumed kissing her belly. He began to suck and bite, first her navel, then her thigh all the while making her hotter and hotter deep within. His tongue traced an incredible pattern that led to only one place.
By the time his tongue hit the mission target, she was wild, on fire. A few expert strokes from him and she was tumbling, the flame that had started as a little tingle had blown into an intense fire, a pulsating fire she could not control. D.G was smart all over. Aduke secretly acknowledged that his tongue was smart too. A long stroke, a suck, a tiny nip, he did it all. His skillful tongue was leading her on this race and before she could hold herself back, she was flooded with ecstasy so pure that she cried out.
Gabbo covered her mouth with his palm and held her to him. Before he could do anything else, Aduke had fallen asleep. He looked at her Sekxy, wet Unclad form and told himself, he would never ever let her go. Peter or not, this girl would remain his.
She was the first one who almost made him break his rules. He made a mental note to have someone come and draw her blood for those damned tests. He could not wait to sink into her wam, wet loveliness which still winked at him. Gabbo found it hard to sleep as she had done, but when he finally did, he had beautiful dreams of his fair skinned firebrand.
***************
At about the same time Aduke’s volcano was erupting, a lone man was walking down the streets of Apapa. He had forcefully discharged himself from the hospital and was headed on a trip. This wasn’t a trip to his village as he had said. He was off to another part of the country, a place where he was guaranteed of absolute safety and solitude.
He promised that he would be back with a bang. He just had to heal first.
The Rich Kids Of Lagos Part 52
Aduke opened her eyes and languidly stretched like a cat. She felt so sated, complete and happy. For a moment, she wondered why she felt this way. The minute the memories of last night’s activities flooded her mind, she was awash with shyness. She remembered how D.G had covered her mouth to stop her from screaming the house down. She smiled at her release. It had really felt good.
‘Good morning Addy, care to share the joke?’ asked Gabbo who stood at the threshold, watching her. She wondered how long he had been standing there. Had he watched her while she had slept?
‘Good morning’ responded Addy, avoiding his eyes and swinging her feet to the side of the bed, sitting and facing the other side.
‘Sleep well?’ he asked, she could detect the hint of a smile in his voice
‘Ah, so, so. I had so many bad dreams, I wonder if it had anything to do with how I drifted off into sleep’ she teased, her eyes alight with mischief.
Gabbo burst into laughter, realising that it was a playful Aduke that sat before him, avoiding his eyes. He walked round to the side of the bed, took her chin in his hands and tilted her face towards him, forcing her to look up at him.
‘Addy, let me tell you one thing. No woman who ever has the opportunity to sleep in the same room with me can ever have bad dreams’ boasted Gabbo ‘except I want her to’ he finished off with a smile.
‘Is someone here tooting his own horn?’ asked Addy
‘Yes and rightfully so. I’m glad to say I have a witness here. Would you care to share why you were smiling and purring in your sleep?’ asked DG with a mock serious look.
Aduke snatched her face from his hands and smiled ‘This girl here is not so bad herself, Mister’ she said.
As soon as she said this, his mood changed. His face was suddenly serious.
‘It’s okay; we would have a chance to test that soon. Do you want to have your bath before breakfast or much later?’ he asked
Addy wondered what she had said wrong but, just as she was about to ask him, he moved over to the door and without waiting for an answer, left the room. Seeing she had no choice, she stepped into the bathroom, wondering what she had done wrong.
She marvelled at the lushness of his private quarters and the bathroom was no exception. Aduke looked at the lay out of the bathroom and was amazed at its size. This was no ordinary bathroom; it seemed to have been designed as a private space, an oasis where he could relax from the stress of a long, hard day. As she looked around, she knew that this could easily rival the best hotels in the world. She decided to use the power jet shower but was worried for her hair. She wished she had a shower cap and so, she began to look through his immaculately arranged toiletries.
As she looked around, she wondered why he had two of everything. Two wash hand basins, a shower stall, a jacuzzi, two WCs too! She felt this was strange and continued her exploration. Just as she began to chastise herself for being silly to even think a man would own a shower cap, she found one tucked into a corner of the shelf.
Irritated, she looked at it, angry to have found it, yet aware that this was the solution to her hair dilemma. Aduke put it on and stepped into the shower stall and a few minutes later, she was startled to hear DG addressing her.
‘Young lady, do you intend to boil yourself? Is water not too hot?’ he asked, referring to the steam that had built up in the bathroom
‘Dunno’ she responded, as she hurriedly stepped out and wrapped herself in one of the plush towels on the rack.
‘Do you want to eat now?’ he asked. His bad mood, lifted.
‘No. Thanks’ she responded, almost coldly
‘No? You? When have you ever said no to food?’ he teased, referring to the voracious appetite she’d had when they had been in America some months ago.
‘I’m not in the mood’ she responded simply
‘Yes. I noticed. What happened?’ he asked, concerned that she was shutting him out
‘Who owns the shower cap and the face cream? Why do you have me here if this is another woman’s territory?’ she asked heatedly
‘Another woman? You are the first lady stepping into this room, Aduke. What are you going on about? He looked perplexed. Addy dragged him by the hands, took him to the vanity and proceeded to show him the pink pouch containing the items she had mentioned. He looked at it an burst out laughing.
‘That was a pack given to me at one of the conferences I attended some time ago. They had been confused because I had not come with a partner and so, they gave me everything intended for a couple. I suspect one of my staff must’ve kept it there’ he responded sincerely
‘Oh’ responded Addy who suddenly felt foolish.
‘Thanks for asking though, I would have clammed up if it was me’ said DG sincerely
‘I agree with you, you do clam up a lot. Like you did earlier on. So, what was that about? She asked, revelling in the openness they seemed to be sharing
‘I hated the reference you made to ‘your experience’. I do not like to imagine that you have been with anyone but me. I would like you to see everything with me as new, a fresh experience. I would be the one to teach you the art of pleasuring’ he said in a rush
‘Seriously?’ she asked, surprised at this childish side of him
‘Yes. Seriously’ he said, simply.
‘Ah, ok. So is there anything you would like to teach me today, O Great Tutor?’ she asked, suddenly playful.
‘Yes’ he responded as he moved closer to her ‘First, remove this’ he said as he pulled the towel free from her body. She was self-conscious as she stood to be admired by him. Gabbo realised the heat was rapidly building within him and quickly removed his tee shirt and bottoms.
He dragged her close to him, and they stood chest to chest, although Addy was much shorter for her head only got to his neck area. The lust was in his voice as he took her hands and put them on his chest.
‘Fiddle with these. Be careful they are attached’ he joked as he asked her to play with his Tips. Addy complied and got bolder as she saw the effect she had on him. She took it a step further and kissed him before she took first one Tip and then the other in her mouth. She needed no compliments to know that she was doing a great job and emboldened by his response, she let her hands freely roam his body in long strokes, just as she ensured that she pressed her soft body against his. Up, down, up, down, touching him everywhere but there, his manhood, where it mattered most. He craved for her to touch him there and it took all of his willpower to stop himself from ordering her.
DG could feel the blood rushing to his turgid erection, but he could also feel her caress all over his body. She had begun to alternate sucking his Tips with quick nips on one then the other, these bites did not hurt, rather, they added warmth to his already burning core. Aduke suddenly changed tactics and began to grind against him. When Gabbo could take it no longer, he stopped her and paused for breath, trying to gain control of himself. Damn! It had been too long. He took a flaming breath before he gave his next order.
‘Now, get on your knees and be creative with your tongue’ he said, with his hands on his hips.
‘Yes Great Tutor’ replied Aduke as she willingly complied. She was glad to hear his sharp intake of breath as she took him in her mouth. This willing pupil was about to show her teacher how smart her tongue could be.
The Rich Kids Of Lagos Part 53
‘Yo, morning’ said Anita as she stepped out of the room
‘Hey’ responded Tessy dully, for she had never been a morning person. She had a cup of yoghurt in her hands, still dishevelled from sleep.
‘Have you seen Simi?’ asked Anita
‘Nope. I should be asking you that’ responded Tessy, referring to their sleeping arrangements
‘Well, I must have slept very deeply. I didn’t realise she had stepped out’ complained Anita
‘Then, call her’ said Tessy, who was irritated. She just wanted to be left alone in peace
‘Duh. I’m about to do that’ responded Anita who was already dialling Simi’s number.
‘Hey Simz’ said Anita as the phone call connected ‘Was worried about you. Where are you?’ she asked
‘Your Daddy’s place? This morning? Ah I see? Personal Business? Oh cool. See you later’ said Anita who faced Tessy. She was already wondering what this early meeting was for and she knew Tessy always had the answers.
‘Simi went to her Dad’s! I’m surprised’ said Anita
‘Why? He’s her Dad’ said an uninterested Tessy
‘Duh. She hates to go to his house cos of Sweetie Potato’ said Anita who referred to Simi’s Step mum by her nickname.
‘Yeah but they have this arrangement going on where Simi is to join the company, so, she’s being a good girl’ responded Tessy
‘Ahhh…. true’ said Anita who had really not heard any of this from Simi. She had to act smart around Tessy so that the information could flow. She needed every tit bit she could garner.
‘Surprising isn’t it?’ said Anita, dropping another lead.
‘It is o, Anita. Simi’s dad just did a turn around like that. Now, once Peter is aboard and we present him to her dad as the fiancé, Simi can get into the office and we can get some juicy contracts’ said Tessy, relieved that she could discuss it with Anita. Simi should have told her it was cool to discuss with Anita
‘Oh! Aduke’s Peter or another?’ asked Anita who seemed disinterested as she flipped through the TV channels. In trutch, every cell was waiting on Tessy’d response. What exactly had been going on behind her back?
‘Yeah, him’. responded Tessy who quickly clammed up. She didn’t want anyone to know his whereabouts. She would be able to make so much money from the situation before Peter made his grand appearance. She could imagine the sum total of all the bills she would ‘claim’ Peter needed paid while he was away on this his intended trip. Tessy was mentally congratulating herself already.
‘Good one’ said Anita who was boiling inside. How dare they? She had been pushed aside to accommodate Aduke, the new girl! She could see them in her mind’s eye, keeping secrets from her, telling each other their plans. Why had Simi done this? Did this mean that her usefulness to Simi was over? Had she been used and dumped by the spoilt brat?
Anita was livid but did a good job of hiding it from Tessy who had also joined her in watching the TV show. AS Anita’s thoughts raged, she knew she had no choice but to call Wale. It did not matter right now that she was angry with him. What mattered was that she did not make a loss from this whole arrangement.
‘Tess, excuse me please, let me quickly shower. I need to go out’ said Anita who got up abruptly. She would normally not call Wale from this apartment but she had no choice. Wale’s initial plan – The Plan A needed to swing into action right now.
‘Yeah, me too. I need to go to the shops to get Milo for a friend’ replied Tessy
‘Milo? Really? People still take that stuff?’ asked Anita haughtily. She really didn’t give a damn about Milo right now. All she could see was an opportunity to make money slipping away from her and she needed to make that money fast.
The moment she got away into the safety of their bedroom, she ran into the bathroom and began to run the water loudly. She did this so that Tessy would not overhear her conversation with her boyfriend, Wale.
‘Hello Wale’ she said into the phone
‘We have to move fast. This Bytch here is making plans without me!’ she said urgently
‘Her Dad has agreed to bring her into the business and I’m not sure yet, but she needs to present a fiancé and she has chosen one without running it by me. We need to move fast. As fast as today, in fact, right now. Do you still have the numbers for those guys? The ones we intended to use for The Plan A?’ she asked
‘Call them! I will text you the address of her current location and her plate number. You guys already have a picture yeah? Let me send a more recent one. She has lost some weight. They need to kidnap her today, in fact, right now! Her father should pay us before he settles her. I was not put on this earth to suffer.’ said Anita firmly
*************
Tessy confidently strolled into Saint Nancy Hospital at 11.30a.m., hoping to see Peter in his room.
‘Good morning’ she greeted the receptionist, Tina who was chewing gum and swatting at flies as usual.
‘Ha, Sister, how you dey? responded Tina with familiarity. She reckoned that if she was nice to Tessy, she might get a little something out of it, perhaps a tip.
‘Is Peter awake?’ asked Tess, itching to go inside to see him. She did not like this dirty girl at the reception.
‘Which Peter?’ asked Tina
‘The one that I came to visit here yesterday!’ This was the most irritating receptionist she had ever encountered in her life
‘He didn’t tell you?’ she asked
‘Didn’t tell me what?’ Tessy was already imagining the worst. Had Peter died? Was the doctor supposed to have called her?
‘He discharged himself yesterday night’ said Tina. ‘Even though we tried to stop him from going o’
‘Really? Are you sure?’ asked Tessy
‘Yes, you can go and check his room sef’ said Tina. Tessy made sure she went in to confirm that the bastard had discharged himself without telling her.
As she left the hospital, she mentally cursed Peter for putting her through this type of stress. Now she had to go to Ajah! This LasGidi traffic was too much for this stress.
***********
Simi made a quick detour. She wanted to pick up some cherry tomatoes for her new diet. There was this shop near her Dad’s house that sold the freshest fruits and vegetables in LasGidi.
She was in a good mood because her Dad’s wife had been absent from the breakfast and her dad at been impressed that Simi had come home so early. Chief Owen-Browne was an early bird who believed that those who could get out of bed early had an better advantage in life.
Simi paid the cashier and left the shop. She was too engrossed in her thoughts to notice the three men across the road that lay in wait for her. On sighting her, they quickly crossed to her side, one purposely bumping into her, ensuring the car keys fell.
‘Sorry Madam’ he said as he picked up the key
‘No worries’ said Simi who still hadn’t sensed the danger ‘She stretched out her hand, hoping to collect her key from him. He moved very close to her and issued an order ‘Please get into the back seat, Madam’ He issued this order with a stern voice.
‘What?’ she asked as she looked at him closely for the first time. He had a hand under his shirt. she quickly wondered if it was a gun.
He stepped closer to her and made her feel the hard steel of the gun, pressed against her fleshy abdomen. Simi decided to comply and got in the back seat. As she did this, the other two guys also got in and sat on either side of her in the car. One quickly collected her phone from her hand and switched it off.
They drove in silence for about three minutes before the man driving spoke to her.
‘You have been kidnapped but, there is no need to panic. This is only about the money and you have to keep asking yourself if your life is worth more or less than money. Once you can answer this question, take a decision on whether or not you want to cooperate. Be rest assured that we have killed before and would have no worries in wasting you if you misbehave. Is this clear?’ he said.
‘Yes sir’ responded Simi. She couldn’t believe this was happening to her! She wondered what to do and began to observe the routes they were passing – the areas were getting really unfamiliar so she tried to look out more. It seemed they were headed in the direction of one of the beaches she and the girls had gone to for a party. Suddenly, the guys parked her car by the road and switched cars to another vehicle and she was asked to follow them.
In the smaller car, she was blind folded and the drive continued for another hour and a half. Suddenly, she felt the car stop. Simi’s heart was in her mouth. Were they going to kill her? Who had she offended? Why was this being done to her? As these thoughts raged through her mind, she began to cry. She was very scared as she was led into a room in a bungalow and made to seat in a chair with her hands tied to the back.
‘Madam, don’t cry. You need to answer our questions.’ said the kidnapper without passion
‘Who will miss you first? I mean, who will notice your absence first? This operation needs to be very fast’ he said
‘I don’t know’ responded Simi for she was aware that she had a bad habit of hardly ever disclosing her whereabouts to those she lived with. It had started as a private joke and then had developed into a habit. It reminded her that she is the boss in the apartment and no one could question her.
‘Ok, we will call your Daddy and tell him the great news, let’s see how much he loves you’ taunted the kidnapper.
Simi suspected there might be troubles with that for her father never picked up unknown numbers. In addition to this, she knew he might not believe she had been kidnapped. He could feel this was an avenue for her to extort more money from him.
‘Okay sir’. She responded. The kidnappers loosened one hand and handed her phone over to her. She breathed a sigh of relief. At least they had used her phone!
‘Daddy!’ said Simi who burst into tears as soon as she heard her father’s voice.
‘Simisola, what is wrong?’ asked the Chief who was alarmed. Simi was not really the crying type and she sounded really distressed. It had not been long since she had left the house. What could the matter be?
‘I have been kidnapped!’ she informed
‘Who, how, where’ asked the confused Chief. This would be very bad for his image. How could he have been so careless with the security of his daughter?
Suddenly, another voice came on the phone. He could still hear Simisola crying in the background. The gruff voice said ‘Chief your daughter is with us. Please do not make any useless moves, we will contact you from a private number much later today ‘ with that, the line was cut off. The old man paused briefly to consider if this was some kind of a sick joke or not.
****************
Tessy was tired of knocking. Peter had to be dead for him not to have heard her knocking. A thought had begun to form in her mind. Had Peter fled from her? Had he travelled to his village? Why hadn’t he told her before he left?
‘Madam, stop knocking that door please. My child is sleeping. Oga Peter has travelled’ said a neighbour who came out of the opposite flat, obviously irritated at the cause of the noise.
‘Sorry. He is supposed to have arrived yesterday. Do you know if he is in?’ asked Tessy
‘Well, he is not back yet. You can ask the gateman to confirm for you though’ said the lady as she went back into her flat.
Tessy made her way back to the Gate and was lucky to see the Mallam coming out of his little apartment by the gate just as she approached the place.
‘Aboki, good morning’ said Tessy
‘Madam good morning’ responded the Mallam
‘Abeg did Oga Peter return last night?’ Tess asked
‘No madam. He comot since a long time ma’ said the Mallam
‘You sure say he nor dey inside?’ asked Tessy, trying to reconfirm from him
‘Walahi. Na here I dey always stay Madam, he never come’ said the Mallam
‘Okay thank you said Tessy who gave the Maiguard a N200 tip as she left.
She was upset and angry. This fool called Peter had wasted her whole day. Worse still, she had to walk to his dusty junction to get another taxi. The foolish driver that had brought her here had refused to wait for her to conclude her business.
As she began to walk to the junction, she heard her phone ringing and wondered if it was Peter.
She looked at the display on her phone and realised that the number was unknown. I could be the silly idiot.
‘Hallo’ said Tessy, ready for battle
‘How are you Theresa?’ asked the strange voice
‘I’m fine.’ She answered slowly, wondering who it was. This did not sound like Peter.
“This is Ade Owen Browne, Simisola’s Daddy’ said the voice
‘Wow. Good afternoon Sir’ she greeted him respectfully, surprised that he had called
‘Have you heard from Simi?’ he asked
‘No Sir. I only know she left this morning to visit you. Hasn’t she gotten to you sir? Asked Tessy, confused.
‘She was here, but, I wanted to know if you have seen her since then’ he said
‘Oh, I’m not at home sir. I’m out’ she said
‘Theresa, the info I’m about to give you is very private. I do not want this anywhere and I’m only telling you because you are my daughter’s friend’ he warned gravely
‘Simi just called to say she has been kidnapped’ he said
‘What?!!! How could that have happened?’ exclaimed Tessy.
‘Do you know anyone she might have been in conflict with? He asked. He intended to get to the bottom of this speedily
‘No sir’ responded Tessy
‘Do you know anyone who could have done this?’ he asked
Tessy looked around and added one and one to make eleven. She then took a deep breath and spoke into her phone.
‘I have a suspect sir. I will meet you in your house right now’ she said.
The Rich Kids Of Lagos Part 54
Aduke and DG sat at the dining table, sampling the sumptuous breakfast set out by the cook. Suddenly Aduke smiled at Gabbo, eyes alight as she teased him.
‘So, D.G, you never did tell me how good a student I am’ she said, referring to their heated encounter in the bathroom earlier on.
‘I see someone is fishing for compliments eh?’ he responded with a smile of his own.
‘Ah, since you say it is a compliment, then I have absolutely no worries. I must have done something right’ she said
‘No my darling, you didn’t do something right, you did everything right. In fact, I have to stop thinking about it otherwise; I would have to throw you underneath this table to resume duties’ he said, with a smile in his eyes.
He had really enjoyed the fellatio she had performed on him earlier. The pressure of her tongue, the slick moistness of her tight mouth and the smooth glide her saliva had lubricated him with was the perfect composition for a great orgasm. He had come hard and fast, like a released bullet from the cylinder of a loaded gun. The relief that had engulfed him afterwards was palpable. It had been long since he’d experienced this type of release.
D.G looked at his little Aduke, surprised that she had shown no signs of squeamishness when he had held her in place for her to swallow his juice. He had observed also that she did not gag at the action. Now, more than ever, he was excited about showing her the new world of S£x that lay in wait for the both of them for she had proven herself to be a good pupil but he realised that he had been dancing on the threshold of disaster. They had already exchanged body fluids which was against his rules, he therefore decided there and then that her blood test must be done today.
He immediately pulled out his phone and called his Laboratory Attendant, Enoch.
‘Hello Enoch’ he said as the phone connected.
‘Can you come over? I need the usual tests run on somebody here’ he said, winking at her
‘How long does it take before the results come in? Three to four hours? Why is it that long? Oh traffic…. I see. Anyway, come over, we are expecting you at the house’ he said
‘Thank you’ he said as he cut off the phone
‘He said he would be here in forty minutes’ he said as he faced Aduke
Addy looked at him, suddenly irritated.
‘I see’ she said frostily as she faced her meal again. By this time, she could no longer taste the food. She was visibly upset about something.
Gabbo walked over to her and lifted her chin as he bent to kiss her on the lips
‘What is it my darling? Are you scared of needles or do you hate the sight of blood’ he asked softly
‘I can easily imagine that you would know what women dislike about blood tests seeing as you are such an expert’ she said angrily.
‘Okay, what is this about Aduke? he asked, tired of her mood swings. One moment she was happy, the next, irritated.
‘Can you please stop flaunting the fact that you are a professional in this game at me? You have a ready Lab attendant who follows you everywhere ready to draw the blood of all your targeted conquests at the drop of a hat. Worse still, you have done it to such an extent that you know how scared women are of needles’ she said, angry at him ‘and to add salt upon injury, you did not even ask me if I was ready for the test or not, you just assumed that I am ready for your silly tests just because I happen to be here’ she finished off, grumbling.
DG threw his head back and laughed. It was a roaring, happy sound. There was nothing Aduke could do today to upset him. Life was good. A good release always had this effect on him. It was unfortunate that these releases had been so rare of late.
‘Hey baby, don’t be mad at me! The laboratory assistant is on my phone only because I am paranoid about my household staff and I need to see that it is their own samples that are submitted for testing. And yes, I know about how squeamish women are when it comes to needles’ he said smiling at her, benevolently.
‘Oh by the way, I love it when you are jealous’ he said ‘So Madam, Queen of my heart, can we please take your blood samples for testing?’ he asked gently
Aduke was surprised to realise that all the tension immediately drained out of her body as his excuses seemed very plausible. She loved to see his playful side and this was no exception. She wondered if he meant what he had just called her. Did he really think she was the queen of his heart?
‘Okay, let’s do the test and don’t laugh if I cry okay?’ she said, accepting to do the tests.
‘I won’t baby, I will hold your hand.’ He said. ‘One more thing sweetie and please don’t be mad at me. I need to call Olu’s boss. He has not performed on ensuring that Peter resurfaces. It is probably because his boss, Pius, has been away on holiday’ said DG
‘Who are these people? Olu and Pius? I cannot remember speaking about them with you’ responded a confused Aduke who perked up some more. She desperately hoped Peter was found hale and hearty.
‘Olu is the Private Investigator I’ve been using to check Peter’s whereabouts. I have decided to contact the man who introduced Olu to me – Pius Ambali instead. He does a more thorough job than this. I cannot continue to live as though all is well when Peter has not been found!’ said Gabbo
Aduke looked into his face and saw the sincerity in his eyes. Her heart swelled because she could see that beneath the complexities, this man had a very good heart. She got up and hugged him very tightly.
‘Thank you DG’ she said simply
‘Oh, a hug for me just because of Peter?’ he said with a sad smile
‘No. For you, King of my heart. You are a very good man. The best ever’ she emphasised.
DG found himself smiling and wondering why he felt so emotional. ‘If I’m not careful, this little girl will make me soft’ he thought to himself and found it strange that he really did not mind as long as she stayed with him. He was determined to keep her with him and make her happy forever.
The Rich Kids Of Lagos Part 55
Good morning sir’ said Tessy as she stepped into Simi’s father’s house. She was surprised to find him looking so relaxed, reading one of the national dailies. His young wife was cuddled by his side, rubbing his huge tummy. This wasn’t the scene Tessy had expected to see. She wondered if he wasn’t the same person she had spoken to just a few minutes ago. What kind of parent was this man?
‘Tessy, how are you? So, has she made up her mind to be found? asked Simisola’s father
‘She has not called me sir’ responded Tessy, confused at the question.
‘Sugar, my mind tells me this is one of her tricks o. Even this Tessy might be in on it’ said Sweety Potato in her fake British accent, looking at Tessy with venomous eyes.
Suddenly, Tessy remembered the reasons why Simisola disliked her step mother so much. In addition to having stylishly snatched Simi’s Dad from her mother, it was obvious that she had an incredibly strong hold on him.
Tessy knew Simisola very well and she was certain there was no way she could have pulled off this heist all by herself. Simi always needed people to do things with and for her, she could not even drink a glass of water by herself without asking for assistance. Tessy’s gut instincts told her this could be a little more serious than Simi’s dad realised.
‘Sir, have you contacted any of the security agencies?’ asked Tessy
‘No, my dear.’ he responded ‘Even if this was a real kidnap, I would not go to the national security agencies. They can mess things up for me’ he replied, deep in thought, suddenly sounding like the worried father she had heard earlier over the phone
‘Tessy are you sure Simisola has not set this up as an avenue to seek for attention? He asked ‘You know how much she likes to be the centre of everyone’s attention’ he added
Sweety Potato interjected ‘But you know your daughter now, Sugar. I don’t think you should allow her make a fool of you again. This one would be a public scandal if you cry foul when there is nothing wrong. Anyway, even the police advise that one should wait until a person has been missing for 24 to 48 hours’ she said.
‘Sir, Simi can never pull this off by herself. If you permit me to, I can call our other flatmates to find out if they have heard anything about this’ said Tessy
‘Go ahead.’ he said as Tessy quickly began to dial first Anita and then Aduke’s numbers, neither of which went through. She tried a few more times before she gave up.
‘Okay, don’t worry Tessy. I think I will call the head of my security department to take some action. Unfortunately he is on leave at this time. I would probably have to recall him. Perhaps if they can try to trace her car, it would be a starting point. But God knows, if this young girl thinks this is a joke, I will disinherit her because I cannot put these things past her’ he said
‘Okay sir’. Responded Tessy as she made up her mind to call Simi’s mother, who had relocated to the UK to take care of her first son. It had been very acrimonious separation and the exes barely spoke to each other.
Sweety Potato had been the first daughter of one of Simi’s Mother’s friends and unfortunately, those who had envied the senior Mrs Owen Browne’s role as queen bee of LasGidi circles had been very happy to witness her humiliating downfall at the hands of a young girl only old enough to be her own daughter.
‘Ok sir, Let me leave now’ said Tessy as she started to turn around.
‘Hmmn, you came here with the name of a suspect in mind. Who is it?’ asked Simi’s dad again. It seemed the Chief was not totally sure that this kidnap had been planned by his daughter as his young wife wanted him to believe.
‘Yes sir, I had someone in mind sir. His name is Peter Owhoko but right now, I’m no longer sure’ said Tessy as she looked pointedly at Sweety Potato who was Tessy’s number one suspect now. Perhaps she had done this to teach Simisola a lesson. Tessy made up her mind to share these thoughts with Simi’s mother.
‘I have not heard of that name before. Why do you think he has a connection with this?’ asked Simi’s Dad who had scribbled the name down as Sweety got up and left his side, grumbling under her breath.
‘Because the three of us had a plan which neither saw through and then, they both got missing on the same day’ said Tessy. She was sure that the two of them had cut her out of a deal, but, she would truncate their plans here and now.
‘Is she in a relationship with him, could they have eloped?’ he asked, hoping this was the case. It would make his life so much easier.
‘I don’t think so sir’ she answered.
‘Okay Tessy, please leave your line open. Perhaps I should be more serious with this issue; after all, she is my daughter. Rather than call my security department, perhaps I shall have to call one of my top secret PI’s. He used to be with the Secret Service and still has his contacts there’ he said, speaking to himself as he picked his phone up to dial a number.
‘Okay sir. Let me leave now. I need to stay at home in case anything comes up’ she said as she began to leave the room. She was ignored for the Chief was already on the phone.
‘Hello, is that Pius Ambali? Yes. This is Chief Owen-Browne, I have an issue, please let ,me give you a quick run-down of the facts as they are right now….’
Tessy was happy because she knew the issue was being resolved now.

Anita entered the flat with her keys and walked straight into the bedroom where Wale sat at his desk in deep contemplation, trying to write. Anita was surprised to find him in such a serious mood for she had not seen him like this in a very long time.
‘Hey Wale.’ She greeted slowly, testing his mood.
‘Shhhh…I’m trying to concentrate as you can see, I’m writing’ he responded. So, Anita sat quietly, holding off on the many questions on her lips, waiting to be asked, she needed to know how much would accrue to her in this deal, she also needed to be sure that the boys were not being too hard on Simisola. She still wanted to have Simi on her speed dial so that she could use Simi’s connections in future. This was just business. Most importantly, she knew she needed to break free of this stupid, lying and cheating druggie. However, she knew she had to take it slowly.
After waiting for about twenty minutes, she began to lose her patience. In all the time she had been here, the idiot had not done anything, he had not even typed a single word on the computer which had since gone into sleep mode.
‘Wale’ she tried again
‘Shhhh…. it’s coming’ he said. Simi looked around the room, trying to understand what he was saying. What exactly was coming. It had been some time now since she had been waiting for the buffoon to say something about the ongoing deal, but he was mute, acting the fool as usual. She could not take it anymore and so she started to talk again.
‘Look here Wale, I’m not here for your usual drama’ she began
‘But i told you to shoosh!’ he yelled
‘We need to discuss the terms of this deal. How much are we asking for and how much is my cut?’ she continued as though she had not heard him
‘What deal? Who has been in a deal with you?’ he asked her with blank eyes. If she didn’t know any better, she would have been worried that this was not the same person she had planned with earlier this morning. After taking a moment to reflect, Anita realise that it was an act, aimed at deflecting her from her purpose here and she decided she was having none of that.
‘Wale. Stop your foolishness right now! I delivered someone to you can you please let me know what my share of the ransom is? I’m asking nicely now’ she said
‘Or else what?’ he asked menacingly, standing up to confront her
‘Or else, I would go to the authorities and spill my guts to them. How much is my share?’ said Anita who was ready for him, standing chest to chest with him. She had her cards laid out properly. Her younger brother was to get in touch with the police if he didn’t hear from her by this evening.
Wale burst out laughing manically. ‘There is nothing you can do to me Anita. You do not know where she is and neither is there any way you can connect her to me. You can leave now, fool. he said
Anita was pained to her marrow. She could not believe this idiot had used her. She was so angry that she struck at him and dealt him a very hot slap on his face. ‘Bastard, you have crossed the wrong woman!’ she said
Wale held on to his face, visibly angry. ‘You slapped me?’ he asked. ‘Yes, I did.’ responded Anita. No sooner had the words left her mouth that Wale dealt blow upon blow upon blow on her. He beat her to a pulp and began to tie her up.
‘Look at you. Little fool. Do you think you can match my mental powers? You have been used and dumped. Your part in this assignment is over. You have delivered Simisola to me. I’m on to the next thing and you are no part of it’ he said to Anita’s limp body. She looked at him unable to move, one eye shut by the punches dealt to her face.
Anita was sorry her path had ever crossed with that of the mad writer, Wale, who immediately left her tied up and went back to his desk, contemplating the next chapter to write.
The Rich Kids Of Lagos Part 51
Peter had been tired from his trip and was happy to have slept well into the morning. His mentor , Mr. Joshua Odutola, had been very glad to see him arrive in Usi Ekiti in one peice, worried about the bruising all over his face and body. He had wanted to dig into the cause of the bruising at 4.00a.m when he had arrived but Peter had been saved by Joshua’s wife who had been adamant about allowing the young man to rest. Peter was thankful for this respite and had sunk into the bed she had provided with relief.
Awake now, he decided to search for his host whom he found sitting with another older man under one of the many trees in the well tended garden. He had never seen this other man before but from the way the two heads were bent towards each other, he knew the two men were good friends with a shared history although Pa Joshua seemed to be the older of the two men.
‘Ah Peter, you are up. Come and sit with us. This is my friend, Pius Ambali’. I have known this man for many many years. He is one of the people I refer to as a great man. He is loyal and steadfast and best of all he is intelligent. Said Pa Joshua. Before he could continue, Pius interjected
‘You are too kind sir. ‘Don’t mind him, young man. I owe this man everything that I am today. It is he who took me out of my poor family and single handedly sent me through school. At the time, he had not even finished school or started a job. He took on many odd jobs to keep us afloat, but he did it for me. This was long before he got married to his wonderful wife or even had kids’ said Pius, eyes alight as he remembered the good old days.
‘Thank you Pius. You have always been quite a story teller’ teased Pa Joshua. ‘Well, Pius, this is my son, Peter. He is very dear to my heart because his late mother rented a room to me when I was on transfer out of LasGidi. Unfortunately, his mother passed away that year and I have been interested in him since then. He is here to recuperate from some incident that he has been involved in. He is yet to tell me about it though’ said Pa Joshua reminding Peter that he was still interested in what had happened to him.
‘Ah, nice to meet you Peter.’ Said Pius Ambali, secretly tickled at the number of times he had heard the name Peter today. Apparently Alhaji Gabbo and Chief Owen Browne were both looking for a Peter Owhoko. He knew it could never be this gentle looking guy because that Peter sounded like a trouble maker. He had to remember to call Olu to order because he hated being disturbed during his vacation. Pius was lost so deep in thought that he did not hear a word that Peter had been saying. He had zoned out, physically present, but mentally absent.
‘….Daddy, that is how they tied me up and began to hit me. I was beaten like a common criminal. Me, Peter Owhoko, treated like this and for no just cause? Till now, my boss doesn’t know where I am. In fact I am almost certain that his boys left me in that hospital to die’ Pius zoomed in and could not believe his ears. What were the odds? Could this really be the same Peter Owhoko? This had to be the easiest case he had ever had to solve. What should he do now?
Pius looked from the face of one man to the other, aware that he could never betray his benefactor by handing over his adopted son to his bosses. Admittedly, there was money to be made, but would he do this at the expense of their long relationship? He peeked at the face of his phone to check the picture that had been emailed to him. The moment he confirmed it was the same man, he spoke up, interrupting Peter.
‘Gentlemen’ he interrupted ‘we have an issue on our hands’ he faced Peter ‘Peter, there is a bounty on your head from two quarters. I cannot reveal the persons now but you need to have a plan. What do you want us to do?’
A confused Peter looked from man to man, wondering what had happened again. ‘Bounty on my head? What did they say I did this time?’ He was fed up! Must trouble always trail him?
The Rich Kids Of Lagos Part 57
Gabbo walked into the living area with a huge smile on his face, relieved and excited at the same time.
‘Addy! Where are you? Your result is out! You, my baby girl are in for a night of bliss’ said Gabbo as he chuckled, barrelling out of the study. He had been holed up there trying to do some work when the lab results with the great news had come via email. He was really happy and sure that his Addy would be too. He was surprised to realise that he had been a bit tense about the outcome of these results. It would have been really awkward if things had not gone well.
He stopped in front of her and presented the print out to her. He was surprised that she only glanced at it cursorily with little interest and no excitement. Gabbo cocked his head to the side and wondered why Aduke was not over the moon, rejoicing like him.
‘Addy, didn’t you read it. Did you not hear what I said? I said your blood work came back fine!’ he repeated.
‘Oh, okay’ she responded in a lacklustre manner, unconcerned and unimpressed.
She had been peeved because he had left her all alone to her own devices while he had gone to work in the study. She had been irritated at herself because she had noticed his absence and had spent several hours smiling as she remembered their earlier encounters and fights. She was surprised that she missed him even though they were only a few feet apart and it had only been self-respect that had kept her from going to his study to beg for some attention like a well-trained puppy. She had been contemplating why she was so addicted to him when he had come into the room, expecting her to jump for joy at his news.
‘What is it, Addy? Are you not excited?’ he asked
‘Wait, Gabbo. Did you imagine the results would have gone any other way? She asked, sounding harsher than she had intended.
‘Well’ he said ‘No, but, you know how these things can be. Anyway, I am glad that you are squeaky clean!’ he answered seriously.
‘My baby, you are in for an amazing evening today’ he said, breaking into a smile. The excitement was back in his voice, his eyes were dancing.
‘How do you know that? She asked, unwilling to be dragged into his celebratory mood.
‘Know that you will have a good night? Simple baby. I hate to brag, but Gabbo does not make promises he cannot deliver on. So if I say you are going to have a great night, you better believe it’ he said with a cheeky smile.
‘Well, clear your mind of all fantasies, Mister. It is unlikely that anything would happen tonight’ she said straight-faced.
‘Err, I don’t understand’ he said, brought back to earth by her reaction.
‘You’ve seen my results DG, but have I seen yours?’ she asked ‘I too would like to see your results. I would prefer that you are tested in my presence and that your test results are emailed to me, just like you did with mine’ she said disagreeably, with a frown on her face.
‘Are you kidding?’ he asked, disbelieving, for she was the first woman who had ever asked him to do such.
‘I’m not a common commodity, Aduke’ he said, with serious eyes. He was irritated that she was doing this, putting stumbling blocks up for no apparent reasons; yet, a part of him was impressed, for he loved the fact that she could challenge him. He would never have expected this from one so young.
‘Neither am I Gabbo, yet you saw fit to ask me to submit myself for tests. I feel the need to do so with you too. After all, I would not want to be infected by you would I?’ asked Addy, glad to have an opportunity to get her point across.
Gabbo’s face was set, poised to resist. How dare she? He wondered if he looked like someone who had a disease.
‘Are you serious, Addy?’ he asked again
‘Yes’ she responded simply ‘If I could go through it for you, regardless of how I felt about it, it is only fair that you should do this for me too’ she responded.
‘Is this why you were upset just now?’ he asked, sorry that he had been selfish and that he had not really considered how she felt about it.
‘No. I just wasn’t happy that you had left me by myself. I wasn’t happy that I was missing you. I should be able to cope without you’ she said.
‘Wow!’ he said. He had not expected her to say this, right after a mini disagreement. She knew how to get him every time; she knew how to melt his irritation away.
‘Thinking of it now, it is only fair that I also run a test. I’m sorry you felt funny about it. I do hope you realise that it was not my intention to make you feel awkward’ he said. It was the closest to an apology that he could give.
‘I know’ responded Addy ruefully. She had also not meant to sound so harsh.
‘I will call the attendant now and we will put this matter to rest’ said Gabbo.
As he walked into his home office to place the call, he realised that he had a new found respect for this young lady who knew how to assert herself with him. He released that only a few women would ever hold up in comparison to her.
Aduke watched him as he went in and smiled. Her Danladi was a good, fair man. She almost called him back to cancel the tests, so she decided to take a walk in the garden instead so that she would not yield to the impulse. She knew she must maintain that she is her own woman with this man.
As Addy stepped into the garden, her phone began to vibrate in her pocket. Message upon message began to flood in, all from her Theresa Obum friend.
‘***Addy, where are you***
***Addy, call me as soon as you get this***
***Addy, where the Fork are you? Simisola has been KIDNAPPED!***
***I swear, it’s not a joke***’
Aduke immediately dialled Tessy’s number to find out what had happened.
‘Tessy, what’s up? What happened? Were you just lying in your text or are you serious? Was Simi really kidnapped?’ she asked in a rush
‘What? How?’ surprised by the responses Tessy was giving her.
‘In this LasGidi? Does this even happen? Do people get kidnapped? I wonder whose sick idea of a joke this is’ she said as Tessy supplied her with more information
‘That is a big mistake. Peter can never be a suspect. NEVER EVER!’ yelled Aduke into her phone
‘It is impossible. I can stake my life on it!’ said Aduke vehemently
‘I will be home soon’ she said, terminating the call as she ran into the house.
‘DG, there is some news about Peter!’ she yelled, looking for him around the house
‘What happened Addy?’ he asked, fearing the worst
‘Simisola has been kidnapped and Peter has been fingered as the prime suspect!’ she said
‘Calm down and tell me everything’ he ordered
Aduke regained her breath and relayed all the information Tessy had just provided.
‘This Simisola is Owen-Browne’s daughter?’ he asked trying to understand the connection.
‘Yes’ she responded
‘Is Peter friends with her? Is he close to her?’ still trying to understand Peter’s connection
‘No. Not at all’ responded Aduke
‘Addy, it makes no sense. Someone is trying frame Peter or use him as a shield. This person might be involved in the kidnap’ said Gabbo
‘You think so?’ asked Aduke
‘Aduke. I know we are not sure of where he is at the moment, but first, and although I hate to remind you of this, Peter was thoroughly beaten up and so a kidnapping heist would not be on his mind this close to his injuries. Secondly, I know the boy quite well. He is a reliable sort who would never do this. What would the motive be? He has more of a reason to kidnap you than she, my dear. We must get to the bottom of this.’ Said Gabbo
‘I have to go to the flat’ she said.
‘I’m coming with you’, he said, just as the phone buzzed.
‘Yes, send him in’ said Gabbo into the phone
‘Addy, the guy for the test is here. It will only take five minutes’ he said to her.
It’s okay, but let’s rush, please’ said Aduke
The Rich Kids Of Lagos Part 58
Simisola could hear movements but she was constrained by the position she had been tied into. A mat had been provided and she had been asked to lay on it. One of the guys had then come to tie her hands loosely but firmly behind her. She lay on her side, with only a partial view of the empty room. The floor was too hard for her, but she dared not complain. She could see one of them now, the one called Lagata, scurrying about, looking out the window of the building to see if anyone was coming. She wondered where his accomplice had gone to and why he was acting extra dodgy today. She heard, rather than saw him walk to the back of the building and imagined that he was carrying out some more routine surveillance.Simi suspected that the police were closing in on them and this was probably the reason why he seemed so jittery. Simi heard him walking in her direction and was apprehensive of what could happen next. She hoped the police would not botch this attempt to free her. She had been making a conscious effort to stay positive since her abduction. She knew it was the only thing she could do. She must not give up mentally.Suddenly, she saw his dirty boots and skinny jeans as he stood directly front of her.‘Rich man pikin, you no chop the food we give you ba?’ Lagata asked referring to the dried up beans in the aluminium plate that she had ignored. ‘No be your kind food be this abi?’ he asked with a sneer on his face‘It’s not like that sir. I don’t have an appetite right now’ Simi knew that under normal circumstances, she would not have a conversation with such a person. More importantly, she knew their paths would probably never have crossed. It was funny now, that she referred to this same person as ‘sir’.‘You go need the energy o! Ehen! Because e get work wen you go do for me before Ogadi come back’ he said ominously.Simisola wondered what the assignment was to be. She desperately hoped they were not going to ask her to cook, for she did not know how to cook and even if she did, the circumstances around this place were less than perfect for her to show off her non-existent culinary skills. He walked away again to check the window and came back, suddenly emboldened by the fact that the coast was clear.‘You no go ask the work wey I wan give you do? he asked as he burst out in a mirthless laugh.‘We go test whether wetin people dey talk na true’ he said, still smiling ‘Dem talk say rich girl toto dey sweet pass. Na true?’ he askedIt took Simisola a few seconds to decipher what he meant and the moment she did, her heart started thudding. She hoped that this dirty man wasn’t going to attempt to Molest her. She did not deserve this. She could see his eyes roving all over her body as he licked his lips and winked at her.She laid there, with her hands tied behind her, chest inadvertently jutting out, making her breasts appear bigger. She shut her eyes because she was sacred. Simi said another silent prayer to God, telling him how good she was going to be if she was rescued from this situation. She had expected that by now, her father would have swooped in and saved her.He stepped forward, knelt by her and began to unfasten the buttons on her plaid shirt. A shirt that she had rushed into just for the Saturday breakfast with her Daddy. She cursed herself for choosing this shirt over the numerous round neck tee-shirts that she could have worn. Her skin crawled as he went methodically from one button to the next. Slowly, popping one, then the next. She wriggled as she tried to evade his hands. At last her shirt was open to the waist, showcasing her black lace bra which did a useless job of properly covering up her modesty.‘Chaii…see bobbi’ Lagata said as he got up to do a crazy dance, hot stepping on one spot. ‘Oh boy, e don tay since I chop this kain oshofree’ he said as he stepped forward and rudely flicked first one Tip and then the other. He stepped back again and laughed, intoxicated by his own power.‘Oga please. Don’t do this, I beg you’ said Simi who was shivering from fear. ‘Please, I will give you anything you want, my Daddy will pay you any amount sir’ she said on the verge of tears‘Before nko? You will give me what I want na and I go still collect your papa money on top sef. No worry, na only one small round I go do’ He said as he excitedly began to remove his pants without removing his boots first. Simi watched in horror as the pants pooled at his feet.‘You see this black mamba’ he said, stroking his erection ‘E go sweet you well well. Na you go ask for more sef’ he said, with a grin on his face.Simisola struggled against the restraints that held her down; she knew she needed to get away before this mad man and came close to her. She found that the more she struggled, the tighter the noose on her hands became. She watched as he came close to her and made an attempt for the button and zip of her jeans trousers. Simisola fought for her life. She kicked and bit him, all the while yelling for help at the top of her voice. She only kept quiet when she received a hot, resounding slap from him, and then another, then it was peppered with blows. Lagata needed to teach this stubborn goat a lesson. After all, he was after only one round. As Simi submitted to his blows, he struggled with her zipper again, this time successfully pulling down her trousers as he grumbled.‘Sontin wey you suppose gree make person chop sharp sharp don turn to work’ he said as he tried to prise her thighs apart for Simi had held them together in a vice like grip. She was determined that this idiot was not going to Molest her without a fight. When she realised that her strength was ebbing, she shut her eyes for the onslaught that was about to happen, but soon realised that it was not to be for something had happened, his weight was no longer pressing against her.Somehow, In the midst of the scuffle, Ogadi, the more refined of her abductors had returned. It was he who had lifted Lagata off her and pinned him to the ground.‘Are you mad? Na the deal wey we get be this? If woman dey hungry you, you know where you can find one na’ he said, angrily, landing blow upon blow on Lagata.‘If Wale hears this, what do you think would happen? I have risked so much for this money and I would not allow you to mess my chances up, just for one lousy Fork. Have you heard me?’ yelled Ogadi.‘Haba sorry nah, E no reach to dey blow me like this na. You for just talk’ responded Lagata who obviously respected Ogadi a whole lot. ‘Abeg, no tell Oga Wale. You know as he dey take vex’ said Lagata‘Get the hell outta here, my friend’ said Ogadi who was obviously angry. As soon as Lagata exited, Ogadi faced Simi, almost too embarrassed to look at her.‘I’m sorry you had to go through that. Are you okay? Did he..? Asked Ogadi‘No. No. You came on time. Thank you thank you’ said Simi who burst into tears as Ogadi buttoned her shirt up and struggled to pull her jeans up.‘I’m sorry. Please’ he said, he looked and sounded very sincere.‘Please let me go, otherwise he would come back to complete what he started’ she pleaded‘I’m sorry. I need this money. I would never let him. I had to go and see my sister in the hospital. She is about your age too but she’s down with renal failure. I need all the money I can lay my hands on. Once your Dad takes us seriously and pays the ransom, I promise you that I will personally ensure that you get home in one piece.’ he saidSimi felt he sounded very sincere. She was surprised that she empathised with this man who was her captor. Simi wondered who Wale was. She was determined to get as much information out of him as she could.‘Thank you, Ogadi’ she said, using his name for the first time. He looked at her shyly and walked away, to resume his surveillance by the door.
The Rich Kids Of Lagos Part 51
Peter, you must go with him’ said Pa Joshua after listening in detail to the reason why his Peter had suddenly become a person of interest. ‘An innocent man has nothing to fear. At least we know that you have done nothing wrong. This might just be your opportunity to be able to clear your name from this mess. You do not need this on your record son’ said the old man wisely‘I know it is a set up Daddy. Why would anybody say I kidnapped their child? I don’t even know the man!’ said Peter ‘I think someone is trying to trick me back to Lagos so that they can finish the job they started’ said Peter‘Do you know the girl in question? Interjected Pius Ambali who was uninterested in the dramatics‘Only in passing. She is my ex-girlfriend’s friend. I don’t even think I have ever spoken to her’ he said, agitated‘Go and pack, Peter. We have to get to the bottom of this.’ Ordered Pa Joshua ‘Come back once it is all resolved’Peter walked back into the house, sad that his mentor did not believe him and worse still, realising that he had been turned away from the only place he could comfortably call home. He sat on the bed and pondered on his life. Why should things be so hard for him? How was it possible that Aduke who had brought him so much joy had also brought so much bad luck to him for he realised that she was at the root of all these problems. He contemplated his options. Should he go to Lagos and get framed, refuse to leave Pa Joshua’s house or just end it all now. He was fed up enough to contemplate suicide and thanks to Saint Nancy; he had enough antibiotics with which to carry the plan out.‘Yemisi, please get me a glass of water’ he yelled , calling the house girl that worked with Pa Joshua and wife.He sat on the bed and waited. Something had got to give, one way or the other. He would think about it again and make his decisions shortly.************Oladele walked into the station and asked for the District Police Officer. He was asked to seat on a bench and wait for the DPO. It seemed that he was the last on the long queue to see the DPO. Oladele had never been in a police station before. He was here only because Anita, his cousin had asked him to drop a letter on her behalf. She had insisted that he should hand it over to the DPO himself. He had a bad feeling about this and his heart was in his mouth, thudding. It was soon his turn and after he had been ushered in, he stood in front of the DPO respectfully.‘Good day sir’ he greeted‘Ehen, how are you?’ responded the DPO who seemed more interested in the bowl of hot rice and beans with assorted meat in front of him. Oladele’s mouth watered too, the food looked delicious. His eyes went from the DPO’s big belly to the food and bottle of cold Malt that sat by, waiting to wash down all the food.‘Fine Sir. Anita sent me to you sir’ he said‘Ehen? Which Anita is that?’ He asked as he licked the oil off his finger. He had just popped one piece of meat into his mouth.‘Anita Iweala from your compound in the village’ explained Dele‘Ehen, what is it?’ asked the DPO, who showed no sign of recognising Anita’s name‘She said I should give you this letter’ said Dele who got up to hand the letter over.‘No no no! Step back first!’ he yelled. ‘Open the envelope and read it’. Since the incident of letter bombs, the DPO never opened any envelope by himself‘Dear Sir’ said Dele as he read, ‘if you are reading this letter, then I am either in big trouble or I am dead. I went to vv…’ continued Dele who was suddenly halted by the DPO‘Ehn, what is this? ‘asked the DPO, his eyes alarmed, ‘you have killed somebody abi?’ He stood up and walked to his door.‘Corporal! he yelled. Come now!’ As soon as the corporal came into the office, ‘Take this boy and put him behind the counter. He is an accomplice to a murder case. God has brought him here’ The DPO’s expression had changed and he suddenly looked very fierce.‘No sir, it is a mix up. I’m not a murderer’ said Dele, who was surprised at the turn of event. He had only come to deliver a letter!‘Come on shut up, my friend! Move or I move you!’ yelled the corporal. He dragged Oladele out of the office just as Anita’s letter sailed to the floor. The DPO returned to his food, unperturbed by the nuisance who had come to spoil his meal or the letter that had drifted to the ground.
The Rich Kids Of Lagos Part 51
Addy, come with me.’ said Gabbo. They had been seated with Tessy in the flat for almost two hours. ‘We are of no use here dear’ he saidAduke stole a qick glance at Tessy who nodded and said, ‘Don’t worry, I will send you a message as soon as I hear anything. I’m certain Anita would soon be back to keep me company. I’m just surprised that it has taken her so long to come home. You guys can go’ said Tess‘Are you sure? asked a concerned Addy. ‘Yes, you can’ responded TessyIn the car, Aduke wordlessly sat in her side at the back and dutifully wore her belt. She was surprised when Gabbo leant over, unbuckled the belt and dragged her onto his laps where he cradled her.‘Don’t worry baby, everything will be just fine and Simi will be found’ he said with confidence‘What if she’s raped or killed? What if we never see her again?’ asked Aduke as she voiced out her deepest concerns.‘It would not get to that my darling. You’ll see’ he pecked her on her temple, sending electricity down her spine. She turned and hugged him deeply, as though to infuse a bit of his confidence into her just as her phone beeped. It was her email. She quickly peeked at it and smiled.Gabbo had really given the Lab Man her email address and his results had come back. Like her, he was clean too.She turned to him with sparkling eyes, suddenly ready for some mischief‘DG, there is an issue’ she said, with false seriousness‘What is it?’ he asked, concerned‘Your result didn’t come back so good’ she said‘What? He asked, his voice anxious. ‘What did it say?’ his concern was apparent in his eyes. He was confused. He could not imagine how he could have picked up any disease. He had always practised safety in all his Sekxual dealings. ‘Can I see the result please?’ he asked‘Hahahaha! Gotcha!’ said Aduke as she burst out laughing. Your result is back and it’s fine’ she said.‘What? Aduke! I’m going to get you for this!’ he said flooded with relief as he burst out laughing.‘Let me see’ he said, just to be extra sure. As he perused the results, she leant towards him and whispered into his ear.‘I’m going to show you the real meaning of a good time tonight. I sincerely hope your old heart can take it’ she teased. For now, Simisola was forgotten. Her heart, soul, mind and body were on her Danladi.‘Hmm, promises, Promises. I hope you can deliver’ he said with a smile‘You just wait and see’ she said as their vehicle made its way home. The two at the back had eyes only for one another as they smiled in anticipation of what was to come.
